You don’t need no stinkin’ internet!

Or so the hotel seems to think. It’s been down since before I arrived and it is truly frustrating! So many amazing things to talk about already and the day has barely begun. Nintendo rocks everyone’s world, as they are often wont to do at their press conferences — I DARE you to watch the Kirby trailer without going “awwwww. Aww. AWWWWWWW. WANT.” all the way through it — and Sony’s is just getting kicked off now. The only reason I am able to even post this right now is thanks to Darren and his Droid and the joys of tethering. Woo.

I did cave and pay Rogers $30 for 10MB of data (over and above the $15 for 15 minutes of voice and $35 for 100 txts) but went through 1MB already just checking mail and twitter. Oy. The media centre at E3 has internet, of course, so I hope to pop in there a few times for some updates. And continue to pray that the hotel gets its freakin’ act together soon ;)

Just looking over a bunch of Nintendo videos and information now. Wow. Just when I was thinking my Wii playing may be done after galaxy 2 and Metroid other M, the go and put out a ton of awesome looking games! Donkey Kong looks amazing! Zelda looks hawt, I love the new style, does look like a painting come to life or something. Kirby looks great, and Epic Mickey looks interesting. Goldeneye is a shock, I wonder if it’ll be good?

Another Golden Sun, finally! I loved the first 2 on the GBA. Fantastic games.

I’m even excited about the 3DS. If the 3D effect is truly awesome, then I’ll just have to jump in day one – especially with a new Kid Icarus (not that that game is anywhere close to the same type of game as the first).

Never played a Kirby game before, but I do like the aesthetic. Also by-the-night lodging and working internet are antithetic realities.
