Technically Pokemon Soul Silver was purchased through a regular store without any sales or discounts involved, but I still love it so much that it had to be in the photo. I’m weak. I think “games” like Farmville are nothing but tripe at best (and fraud at worst) and yet I check in every day to collect apricorns and harvest berries and gain a few levels. Today I caught a Ponyta so it’s all good! I haven’t seen one of those since I played Blue. Man… I really need to stop talking about this and pass the damn game already.
I also really really really need to change my ringtone from the Pokemon Centre tune. It haunts me and I catch myself humming it all the time. You have fun with that, eh. Use it wisely.
*cough* I have so many other games to play! Today I finally accomplished my goal of getting rid of Alan Wake and picking up Read Dead Redemption instead. Alan Wake just sat on my shelf and I knew I would play every DS and PSP game I owned before I bothered to get to it so it was best to get something a little more fun instead. Besides, how can you not love Donkey Lady? I’m also bullying Troy into picking it up, too. Be prepared for near-epic nerdity going on when we get together and write about it down the road.
I’m dying to bust out with some Split/Second right this very- yeah. It’s been a loooooong time since I’ve indulged my need for ridiculous racing. I had the PS3 version, briefly, forgetting that I am still refusing to update it since that will cost me my OtherOS function. Seriously, Sony. C’mon. Weak. *cough* I know that’s almost the least of their anti-consumer transgressions but, this is the one I am taking a stand on. Obviously no PSN has zero effect on FFXIII but I’m going to have to be creative to get online for Demon’s Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes and Mod Nation Racers. Oy. Anyone ever migrate a PS3 profile before? I have yet to look into it. I sometimes hate that I have two of every system. It makes me a very broke person — though fun as a party host! — and Sony still wins. Jerks. But ‘my’ other PS3 isn’t really mine, just one I convinced my parents to buy as a bluray player/media server that they would not notice if it went missing for a little while. Either way, I went and switched for the 360 version. My lovely shiny (not really) black 360 with a fully functioning disc drive, sans-chainsaws, and 250GB drive. Woo.
The rest of the pile will not be discussed today but I do wish to draw your attention to the controller on the right. Not pictured: A WIRE. Do you know how hard it was to find a wired controller in this day and age?? Well, specifically one that was located in Toronto and not overpriced. I had a giftcard I had to use and, lo, Sears had what I wanted. It makes sense, too. Find a store well behind the electronic times and you’re good to go! I gave two white 360 controllers to my brother. I have one white controller left and now the two black ones that came with the new console. This gives me a full four and I can use it with my PC. I want it for Team Fortress 2, among other things. I can’t wait. Don’t judge me ;)
It would have been better to get the wireless PC adapter, sure, but they seem to randomly explode. That’s probably bad. Had I located one I probably would have gotten it anyway just for the joy of using my 360 wheel on my PC. Sigh. That would still be wonderful…

Oooh, very nice haul. I only have the 1UP mushroom, still need to get the Super and… er, Mini(?) varieties. And the ? block, which I have on hold at my comic shop.
Nice stack of games, too. I want to give Red Dead a shot at some point, and Brutal Legend seems like it might be neat, too. 3D Dot Game Heroes looks good, too– I tend to favor older Zeldas over the newer ones, so it seems like a good fit!
Splinter Cell, loved the first 2. The first was awesome. Drove me crazy whenever my stealth was compromised. The oil platform was my favorite section. The second one’s beach section at the start was my favorite. However Prince of Persia sucked ass. Never like the Prince series. Sometimes I wish I still played games. My all time favorites were original Far Cry, Half Life 2, Halo, Prey, Oblivion. But I was getting too angry at the stupid physics and dumb plot holes, just couldn’t suspend my sense of reality. Broke 2 keyboards. So one day I decided to quit forever and break my addiction. Locked myself out of Steam forever, several hundreds of dollars gone, smashed all my disks. Curse my sister though and her Wii console. Between Jenn’s constant game talk and photo’s of games and my sister’s Wii, starting to get flashbacks to fun times forgetting how upset I was. Curse you Jenn!
I just wanted to make sure you know I was joking when I said, “curse you Jenn!”
Any way I figured my sister and nephew probably would not loan me their Wii, which I bought them. So I’m staying overnight in Idaho Falls, Idaho on my way to Tooele Utah and I buy the black Wii on an impulse. Looks much nicer than the white one. I also bought the games “Calling”, a DS game, “Bleach: The Blade of Woe” and a Wii game “Bully: Scholarship Edition. Bully looks iffy but it was cheap. I decided to stick to console games now and at any rate since I use Ubuntu exclusively, Windows PC games are out of the question. Enjoy Sunday. ツ
