Surprisingly, these adventures were extremely stationary. Since I didn’t have the sense to bring my books or notebooks with me, I ended up relying on my DS to save the day.
Everyone (the four of you I know that are playing HeartGold/SoulSilver) bitched about the Dragon trainer so I was mostly horsing around when I finally got to her late last night. I went through the gym with my random team assortment and didn’t even bother to heal. By ‘team’ I mean ‘those I happened to be carrying and no thought whatsoever was involved’. I saved before taking on dragon lady for the badge, assuming I was going to get spanked and regroup later, then surprisingly made it down to her and my last pokemon. Feraligatr and Kingdra: FIGHT TO THE DEATH. I had no more potions. I prayed she had no more items. It came down to one shot to get lucky and I did. HA HA SUCK IT CLAIRE. Granted, this would have been much easier had I brought a dragon, perhaps picked up an electric in the past, and had more than two items that brought back more than 50hp. Then she still wouldn’t give me the badge and I had to do another cave quest. Such a bitch. Now I have the badge and a Dratini with Extreme Speed so I suppose it all worked out in the end :)
People were asking me about this tweet the other day and I’m afraid the story isn’t that exciting.
A guy bought a new-to-him PSP and the store clerk actually told him that Sony stopped making the memory sticks for it. Uh, no. Even other companies, like Sandisk, make them and Sony uses them in pretty much all of their products. Just because you don’t sell them anymore doesn’t mean they stopped existing. I ended up running into him at another tech store nearby a few minutes later and overheard (I swear I’m not stalking) these clerks telling him the same story.
“Hi, excuse me, what’s that on the wall? Oh, it’s a Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo? Cool. I don’t need one, but I was just curious, gtg.”
Sheesh. So he made out ok in spite of everything.

Was he buying PSP Go? Or one the UMD models?
Barenaked Ladies “Sale, Sale, Sale”
Just started playing through my head.
This is why I don’t go retail anymore unless it’s absolutely necessary.
