Better to ‘ding’ later instead of not at all!

I’m running out of ways to praise Borderlands on one hand and smack them with the other.

I was whining about achievements being borked to heck and back but those did eventually pop for me. Randomly. I hope others get their earned points, too, no matter how late or out of order. At least now I have photographic proof that these achievements did not show up when they should have. Let’s have a look.

Braaaaaaaaaaaaains is where it is supposed to be since it was the last one I did.
Night of the Living Ned. Impresseve how I killed him sort-of after I killed him for real.
Jakobs Fodder and House of the Ned. I think this is the right order.
Ned’s Undead, Baby. This one popped at the time I finished him off. As it was supposed to.

There’s no telling what I’ll do if Ding! Champion doesn’t show when I hit 50 ;)

I’m getting on with Playthrough 2 now using my level 48, borderline 49, Hunter. I still really like the game, which should be evident by my endless posts about it, and that’s why I want to beat them over the head with the parts that they missed which could have made it even more fun. Why do drops suck? Some people get very lucky and I am jealous. I’ve done some treasure box farming to no real avail. In Playthrough 2 one would hope that terrible guns drop with far less frequency instead of far more. My shield is in the 900s but merely two shots from a Bandit with a tiny gun decimates it and I scramble for better cover. Gotta check on my build since my bullets no longer seem to ignore enemy shields and I don’t remember respeccing. On the plus side this has forced me to adopt new strategies once I got to New Haven for the second time. Before I was very happy with standing in the middle of the field and pick people off at my convenience. Playthrough 2 has also surprised me with my Bloodwing being useful for a change. It (he? she?) will actually seek out someone and hit them instead of flying around my face. This newfound skill might go AWOL again once I fight in more indoor areas but we’ll see. Another important lesson hammered home: co-op ftw. I certainly had to adjust my style now that no one had my back. Now I am not so devoted as to buy my brother a 360, Borderlands, and a Live account. It’d be very nice of me but if I had that kind of cash I’d get myself a 250GB one, Arkham Asylum, Assassin’s Creed II, Bayonetta and more. Pity that wishlists are always longer than budget, eh?

I broke down and purchased the second DLC pack, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot solely for the bank. True, you can get by without one but it was nice to stockpile some weapons that I can give to other people as they need them or some cool ones I want to use to build up my skill later on. And, hey, Claptrap in a suit! Say it with me now: Awwwww, cute. I have not actually played any of the Underdome missions yet. While I wasn’t a fan of the Circle of Death / Slaughter quests in the main campaign I think these new ones could be fun with a team together. I might get to it by the end of the week.

For now I need to learn how to play Rise of Nations better than barely surviving the first tutorial! Rally points, people. They matter. Especially if you did not place your buildings wisely in the first place.

*My bad!! I do use a lot of elemental guns these days and that explains why I felt like I was doing less damage than I should with Trespass.

Yeah I was a bit confused with my hunter too. Once i started playthrough 2 i was able to complete two of the trees, so i split between gunslinger and sniper. But i realized that it was almost pointless to use trespass if most of your guns were elemental anyway.

My brother found me a Bloody Revolver or something at: 777 dmg, 93 acc, 1.3 rof with a 4.7x zoom. That’s the main gun I use now since it takes full advantage of trespass.

Hmm. I should post my weapons since I know absolutely zero of my stats offhand. Or my build. Basically, I know that I have tresspass, a corrosive bird, a fire SMG, and a sniper that makes stuff ‘splode :)

Yeah i’m interested to know what sort of gear you have. My brother is playing a siren with a fire smg that has a ridiculous rate of fire. In the arid badlands on the second playthrough it does insane amounts of damage since he’s got all of the elemental skills for his siren.
