Ryan, I can also hope for a price drop since I'm too suspicious to buy used music game peripherals. They are often traded in (dumped) for a reason.

TheEggplant: I am halfway decent at Beatmania but I can't play except on my PC these days since there's no timing adjustment for non-CRT tvs! It is pretty old.

I love singing but Karaoke Revolutions really underwhelmed me. I have a GameCube one. I appreciate the links (and have stored them elsewhere) but, yeah, I do have to remove them since I might have to put ads on the site again to continue to have a gaming budget ^_^

Screaming Pixie Stixs! How does anybody do that?
I've got Guitar Hero 1 & 2 for PS2 as well as a couple of the Karaoke Revolutions so I think I can reasonably say I don't care for rhythm games. Probably because I suck at them. However, the idea of Lego Queen and Lego Bowie in Lego Rock Band makes the title very appealing.

Thanks for answering my question. My first experience with the music game genre was using a Beatmania emulator for the PC. As for DJ Hero...it's a no-brainer for me as well...but I feel the price tag of it is a little steep for me. Will probably wait for a price reduction before making a purchase.
