While playing some more Wii Ghostbusters this morning I came upon some frustrating quirks. Knowing where I am supposed to go is not a particular asset since, for example, after I get the power back on during the return to Sedgwick Hotel I know I should head for the elevators. Thus, I did. But I got there long before the rest of Ghostbusters and it seems I got there before the scripted spawn point, well, spawned. Now we’re all at the elevator just twiddling our thumbs and I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t have any option to progress. Time to whip out the PKE goggles and see what I missed. Nuthin’. I went back through the ballroom back to the generator and then out again. Nope, no trigger. Stairwell? Alas. I walk to the door we used to get to the kitchen/ballroom the first time we were here. Bingo. A bunch of baddies spawn and we were off to the races. It’s still weird that it didn’t show up on my goggles standing at the elevator. For reference, they are very close together. I can see that door from the elevator. That was more quirky than gamebreaking though, no biggie.
This next one was the definition of gamebreaking. I was making my way through the 13th floor with Egon (<3 Egon) and I stepped through a door into the abyss.
I don’t feel like playing the level again at the moment but I do want to see if I can replicate that bug! I was able to pause, check the spirit guide, spin around randomly, and change/fire weapons. Basically I could perform all the normal game functions save for being able to make any more progress. Eventually I paused and returned to the Firehall and everything returned to normal. Next time through I’ll take it nice and slow and see how that goes :)
I’m glad I finally achieved 100% in Lego Batman (360). On the whole I had lots of fun and it went a long way to redeem my faith in the Lego franchise after the completely horrible Lego Indy. Might have to stick in Lego Star Wars again down the line to see how it holds up. Nostalgia says that it’s still the best of the three but that could all fall to pieces with fresh eyes.

I know this isn’t quite on topic but, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on DJ Hero? For me personally, I definitely plan on getting it.

Ryan, ooh! Good question. Let me answer that in a later blog post so I can give you my whole take on it. I think people might be surprised!
