In PC gaming news I’ve been enjoying the three betas I am in. I still get my face kicked in on Heroes of Newerth but I’m doing quite well in League of Legends. I never played Defense of the Ancients or Warcraft III but I really like League of Legends. Not just because I’m winning, I swear! I rule with Sivir and Tristana. Though with Trist it is very necessary to have a tank around while I blast people away from behind him. For both games I need to learn a lot more about the items and the best builds for my characters. Learning more characters could also come in handy. I might even pre-order LoL.
I’m also in the — wait for it — Hello Kitty Online Beta. I actually like it. Yes, I’m serious. I need to go over the NDAs for all these games so I can post about them (or not) accordingly.
update: Ok, this genuinely made me laugh out loud.

Just tried playing HoN now. A bit too hardcore for me, a load of abbreviations I don’t understand in the game names and alot of people insulting me. This is why I stopped playing games online with random people.
AND no tutorial of any kind (that I could find). How on earth do you start playing?
HoN is not nice to new people. They aren’t nice to people in general. Xbox Live morons are nicer than HoN people, even the people in the n00b games! Scratch that. ESPECIALLY people in the n00b games :(

I love it, it’s fun, people are cool, and there’s a solo mode so you can get used to heroes at your own pace while still making progress.
