I like it better when I neglect my blog due to gaming…
Work, work, work but it’s nice to have some money coming in. This means I might be able to get Arkham Asylum sometime before Christmas. Not that I need new games with my present backlog. I appreciate Kunikos for linking me to http://backloggery.com/. Thanks to your comments I’m somehow comforted that others experience the same indecisiveness that I do! The fact that someone made a site dedicated to this singular dilemma is further proof.
Later this week I set aside a lovely block of time to marathon the rest of Lego Batman. I need to finish off the bad guy campaign and then go after the power blocks and mini kits and hostages. I also have some component cables for my PSP2000 so I can inflict show you some tales from Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. I’ve taken a small break from it since its last mention here to break my obsession. Same reason Ghostbusters hasn’t seen the inside of my 360 for a little while. I even uninstalled it from my drive! This, in no way, diminishes my love for Egon!! Granted, I have the piddly 20GB launch drive that I’ve been moving across every time my 360 dies. I’ve been through a launch, elite, and now an arcade with HDMI system. Even this one is slowly dying. So far it’s just been drive errors and grinding as opposed to red rings. I need to do a better job of keeping receipts since I cannot remember how long I’ve had it or what the warranty is supposed to be. We’ll see how long I manage to keep it going. Save files are taking up a surprising amount of space and I usually have just enough room to install one game to save the disc from spinning past startup. I have a memory card (came with the arcade) but I have yet to use it. Methinks soon would be a good time to see about moving older saves off the drive.
I made my first ever Steam purchase yesterday. Today is the last day for Braid being on sale for $4.99 USD (~$5.32 CAD) on Steam. I’m pretty sure I can get $5 worth of fun from it. Wait, second purchase. I definitely picked up Portal at launch. Mmm, cake :)

Oh, Braid you maddening piece of pseudo-art.
If I use a walkthrough for more then half the game does that make me a mouth-breathing troglodyte with no appreciation for the finer things? Or do I just not like being told how solvable the puzzles are when one of the first ones has me completely stumped? Yeah, I got your solutions right here. They’re right here.
And here’s everything I just said done with some creativity.

hehehe. Yeah, I’ve only played a few minutes to make sure it worked and I will probably be beating my head against the wall frequently on my quest to reach the end.
