Crazy busy, zomg. Today I kind of feel like crap so I’ll be sticking close to my desk if not my bed. This is the perfect time to chat about some of the games I’ve been playing recently.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions still owns my soul. I was 10 hours in and only completed 4-5 story battles because I was off grinding like crazy. Go go ninjas and samurais and dragoons and summoners and arithmeticians. Now I’m finally out of chapter one and flying through the battles. Good times. I really need to progress since I’m using mostly ninjas and monks and casters because I have no weapons for the others.

Lego Batman. Yes, I finally started it. I didn’t like it much. My expectations were obviously much too high! I brought over my 360 version of Lego Star Wars and Lego Indy to better compare. I really really like Batman — the comic, not the movies — so I know I will go back and finish the campaign, at least.
Through luck of good deals and being in the right place at the right time, I have a ridiculous gaming backlog right now. Just last night I picked up Mirror’s Edge (360) for $15CAD. I also have inFAMOUS and CrossEdge for the PlayStation3, MadWorld and Ghostbusters for the Wii, and Jeanne D’Arc for the PSP. I know I’ve mentioned some of these before, too.
I wasn’t too enthused by the Mirror’s Edge demo back in the day and the screams of anguish from my friends trying to complete speed runs weren’t helping matters. At this price point I figure I will have gotten my money’s worth if I only get halfway. I need to steal my Wii back from my parents now that they’ve purchased their very own. I’m proud of them. I know there’s been much mashing of teeth regarding “oh, the Wii is for casual babies and people who suck at games and don’t know any better” but my Dad has his own PS3 and now my Mom has her Wii for WiiFit and EA Sports Trainer. Granted, Dad got the PS3 for a bluray player but after I showed him how to use it as a media server it gets used nearly every day. Oh, and he has MLB The Show, Tiger Woods, and NHL from various years, to boot. Mom likes Mario so I’ll be lending her Galaxy next. Baby steps ;)
And if anyone out there has used http://rainmeter.net/ on Vista AND gotten it to work on dual monitors, do let me know. I’ve been having all sorts of trouble with it not playing nice on my system and destroying my resolution at every reboot.

Mirror’s Edge is a under estimated game, to be honest its pretty fresh and very colorfull, and i like bright colors like that.
inFamous is awsome, been to a press presentation of it few months ago on a big movie theater screen and played the demo. Thats a game that keep you occupied for a long time.
My parants play most of the time Tetris Puzzle on my good ol’d PSX 1 and my mom recently bought a laptop and making her first steps on the internet and buggin me daily with a lot of questions. Thinking of installing linux secretly on that laptop*evil grin*.
