What is delicious?

Candy, duh.

Last time my brother came to visit he left me a lovely gift on top of my monitor. I haven’t even seen a box of this stuff since we were kids since they just don’t sell them in stores up here. He managed to snag a box while he was waaaaay down south in the US checking out a mind-blowing Slipknot concert for reading week. He has since learned that driving to Florida is often less fun than advertised ;)

mmmm?

I swear I will find my proper camera charger soon and stop using my cellphone for this stuff. Though I have had the box all week I have not yet been brave enough to crack it open. Even my brother is not convinced that it will taste as good as it did when we were young. Another US cereal that we were always excited to pick up was the TMNT cereal. It tasted like 8-year-old shreddies with styrofoam that pretended to be marshmallows and it turned the milk an extremely unappetizing purple but we loved it like candy anyway. It was TMNT! It had to be good!! I’m sure my Donatello in a Leafs jersey on top of my tower might show my undying love for the good old turtles. Donatello being the bestest turtle of them all, of course :)

My all-time favourite cereal is one that no one else seems to remember. My being unable to recall the proper name hasn’t been helping matters. Think Rice Krispies in a red box with teeny-tiny fruit-shaped marshmallows. It was awesome, I tell ya.

Who wants to take bets whether I give these new Pebbles a shot this week or just keep the box sealed as a souvenir?

Save the memories. The product may not have changed, but the consumer invariably has.
As far as fruity marshmallows go try:

or maybe:

And has anyone else noticed that cereal from the ’80s was just depression-era, priced to the masses, puffed-grain with dehydrated puffed-sugar?
Now I’m slightly nauseous.

Better save it, maybe when your ready to retire you can dig it out and sell it on ebay:) Should be good for another 60 70 years…..

Love the cool Street Fighter poster. Where did you get it?

TheEggplant, sorry that the spam filter caught your comment initially. I tweaked the settings and hope that it won’t happen again!

Jedi_Kez, that’s it! I could have sworn that the name was different but that’s exactly what the cereal looked like and, I promise you, it was delicious :)

Shyboy, I’m pretty sure the poster came from a Versus guide for Street Fighter Alpha 2 (there’s another all-character poster on the back, but this is the side I prefer).
