Grandma is doing very well and it’s been kinda fun doing all sorts of running around for her (and she gets a home care nurse visiting once a day after all, which took a lot of pressure off of me), I had some decent time for gaming (all Wii, surprisingly), got to see a dear friend who has been overseas for ages, and saw the seriously amazing Toronto production of Sound of Music. I know I am one of the few people on the planet who has not ever seen the movie — this will be rectified in a week or so — so seeing everything for the first time was really amazing. Not to mention that they basically flip a mountain/hill on stage a few times. Also, the kids were outstanding. I’m not just saying that cause I was totally crying at the end and (since the performers can see me since I was in the front row) one of the kids (Friedrich) kept waving at me. I might try to see it again after I see the movie even though I’ll never luck into the same amazing seats I grabbed the first time. I was sitting next to a youngish guy who was soooooooo bored the entire show that he spent it sighing at the music while staring at his shoes. His girlfriend, however, loved it. On the other side of them was an older gentleman who was seeing the show for the 10th time, front row centre. I don’t blame him. I might be a little jealous :)
I’ve been playing more Super Swing Golf on the Wii and while it is annoying to start off as Hana again — which is often creepy since she’s so young and off prancing around in a bathing suit — rather that my wicked account and characters I had on the PC version, I still love it. Granted, paying $15 for the game instead of full price helped me overlook the flaws in the game… had I played this before the PC version I might be frustrated out of my mind. I basically learned to play the game on the computer by watching other people kick my ass. I got to see where they placed their shots and how they aimed and lined up putts. On the Wii the AI just smacks the ball around and you have no idea what they were going for. It would be a much steeper learning curve on the Wii and probably less fun since you can’t really talk to AI players. While I sort of understand reasons why the console version doesn’t let you keep pang/money earned during versus play nor do you earn experience (for rank), it’s still a weird omission. So is allowing only one save file unless you migrate it to an SD card and move the one you want to use back and forth. I’ve mainly been horsing around with Hana thus far but now it’s time to step up and start purchasing the other characters I’ve unlocked so I can keep going through ‘Pangya Festa’ repeatedly until I get my old favourite, Arin, back. Later on I forsee myself picking up Season 2, assuming I can find it for a reasonable price. Or at all. I don’t remember ever seeing it on the shelf!

I’ve also been looking everywhere for Kororinpa 2 to no avail. I know that all reports say it’s not as good as the first one but I don’t see that stopping me from having some fun with it :)

Wow. I remember the single save shuffle from Twinsen’s Adventure on the PC.
Wasn’t any fun then either.
If you’re looking for Marble Saga Kororinpa it’s on Amazon.

If the store proper won’t ship to you I know I’ve had a lot of luck with third party sellers when buying from the U.K.
Good news about your grandmother.
Here’s to a full recovery.
