This morning (after I got kicked of the Warcraft servers for maintenance, of course ^_~) I decided to finally tackle boxes of heaven-knows-what in my office in my continued fruitless attempt(s)to get organized. Through this sorting I found almost all my old reports cards from high school and even some from elementary school. I used to be an AMAZING student. It makes me kind of sad that I suck so bad these days and I wonder what the hell happened.
I played video games the entire time and I used to play on 3-7 teams simultaneously so that can’t be it. I know it’s easy to blame WoW but that didn’t exist when my slow steady decline began. Heck, back in high school Diablo II was my online occupation of choice. Man, I had my godly Sorceress and mules from A-to-Z all full of stuff. And since I stuck to legit games I only once in all my years managed to find an actual Stone of Jordan. That was a happy day indeed. I stopped playing right then and there, mission accomplished. Though I did go back to battle.net before all my characters went *poof* and had a massive giveaway party. Ah, memories :)

I have a theory that age diminishes our desire for learning.
Much like Kelly Bundy we can all get full.
22 hour days to study for high-school exams? No problem.
Starting a philosophy paper the night before and working on it right up until its time to go to class? A snap.
Now? If I don’t get to bed before ten I get cranky.
Learning all the new-fangald whatits in a game? Thanx I’ll stick with what I know. Of course in that case I sometimes force myself, but the intense “GOTTA TRY THIS” isn’t there anymore.
Maybe when Diablo III comes out we can get together and play some…
Some of the best online gaming I ever had was the first Diablo…..
