I need new music, all suggestions welcome!!
I picked up the Lady GaGa album the other day since it was $10. I hated all but one song the first time through but it’s been much better the second and third time through. While at HMV I was looking for more of the old dance tracks I used to listen to non-stop in high school, you know (if you are a Torontonian), the typical Z103.5 fare. Found some of their old summer rush CDs that I might go back for. Milk Inc. CDs seem to be hard to find these days. I always meant to buy them back in the day but all my money went towards hockey, gaming, and tech back then. Which, honestly, isn’t that much different from now except for the whole ‘tuition’ and ‘textbooks’ thing :)

You know my tastes are, uh, divergent but what about Cut Copy and/or Ladyhawke? Or Cut Copy remixing Ladyhawke? http://hypem.com/track/727620/Ladyhawke-Paris+Is+Burning+%28Cut+Copy+Rem
Hmmm…. I could suggest hundreds of bands…. but my main favourite from last year was The Birthday Massacre…. and they’re even Canadian eh? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birthday_Massacre
And there is always my own stuff, but promoting that would involve tooting my own horn, and it is more than a little eccentric…. but its at http://chaotimusic.com (and its all free)
Random internets guy here again..
I’d suggest The Presets (a new favorite), Alkaline Trio (an old favorite), and Jonathan Coulton (a new discovery).
Duffy (Rockferry)
Nikki Yanofsky (Ella… of thee I swing) (Blues)
What song did you like the first time around, Jenn? I liked all but like one or two songs on Lady GaGa’s album… and I can’t stop listening to Just Dance, which I’ve been listening to almost daily since July (before it got all popular).
You nailed it: Just Dance. It’s definitely a fun one to have on repeat.
