I’ll be the first to admit that I suck at dealing with working with people in other time zones. That’s my bad and not the fault of people working in PST. However, I’m still incredibly unimpressed with the whole Xbox 360 phone service. When you first call 1-800-469-9269, no matter your issue, you get to talk to their directory system called ‘Max’. Max doesn’t seem to like my voice much. I don’t know if it’s the Canadian accent or my phone just sucks but no matter how I change the inflection or repeat myself I always end up sitting through the repeated options several times until they let me use the number options.
Now that I finally got through to a person a few minutes ago, they told me to call back. I’m serious. Apparently they are updating their systems and they can’t access any accounts for at least two hours. They can’t take down my info and cancel as soon as it comes back online since they presently can’t prove that I’m me in order to cancel it. I can’t help think to myself, again, how much easier this would all be if I could cancel online but I can just keep on dreaming there. I know this seems like a silly little thing to whine about but when your conscious hours are precious and I’ve got the stress of moving and my uni finals over my head it’d be nice to have this taken care of already.
My poor roommate. She’s an absolute sweetheart and it’s driving her crazy to see me losing my mind lately! At least next Wednesday night we have Red Wings tickets and that’ll be fun :)

It might actually be easier to report you credit card stolen and get a new account number rather than dealing with Live CS. ;)
You tried to get telephone support for a Microsoft product? Brave, brave decision.
It’s name is seriously Max? First thing that popped into my head was hearing a voice like Max Headroom. Does it stutter and have a good sense of wit?
Good luck with your adventures with Microsoft. I was thinking about upgrading my Silver to Gold, just so i could play with some friends from work, but now I’m reevaluating the option.
Plus.. even though I do development in MS languages, I’m not a fan of giving them my money..
How could Microsoft Max not like your voice?
Your voice has done TV, video Podcasts, and even a guest segment on This Week in Tech. You have a fantastic voice!
I think Microsoft Max needs a hearing aid. Maybe Microsoft Bob could help Microsoft Max.

PS Any chance we’ll ever see you on Leo’s TWiT Live Streaming Video on Stikam?
You could ask your credit card company to put a stop on all payments to Microsoft. I believe that they would quickly contact you in that case.
