I broke down and finally got a twitter account.
Actually, I got one a little while ago but now I have twitter.com/jenncutter that you are free to add or ignore as you see fit. For those of you that found my OTHER (original) twitter account, make sure you switch over to this one because I’m going to lock that one down so I can use it for the original purpose I got it: to chat with my friends overseas. I don’t think they want all the OA and CFH fans in on that and nor do I want to bore them with my endless gaming-related posts :)
Just in case you missed it, all you twitter addicts can add jenncutter to your list to be up to date on how the relaunch is going, possible ustream times (assuming my lame school wifi connection can handle it), random gaming stuff, and pretty much anything that crosses my mind while I sit in Algorithms lectures all summer long. Should be fun!
I’ve been watching this all day. It’s awesome.

As I sit here waiting for students to come to me for help (elaboration here) I decided to make this old thing public again while I work on it. This greatly differs from my past method of nuke it all and start from scratch!!!!1! ……. and then tweak it until I nuke it again. Turns out that while I adore gaming I can’t live with that being the only thing I write about. School is way to time-consuming (and occasionally enjoyable!) to have gaming as the only thing in my life. Not that I think I’d want gaming as the single solitary thing in my life. This world is too amazing to limit yourself to any one thing, regardless of the thing. Those of you dedicated to curing disease and other noble historic endeavours should disregard the previous statement.
A few friends showed me their tumblr blogs and I thought it was a neat idea even though I didn’t want to sign up. After some random searching I found this that basically lets me use my existing WordPress setup in a similar fashion. And, lo, here we are. There is much to be done to make this theme more “me” but after my week of hell (trip back home, 6 labs, a midterm, regular TA hours, and a killer coding project) I have a slightly more relaxed 3-day weekend ahead of me. I have a TON of Geology to read and lectures to listen to and another killer coding project for Algorithms but that’s about it. No running off to Toronto and no social or teaching obligations until Monday. This means I can lock myself in my room, crank my tunes, and put in more Wii quality time and work on videos again.
I love being busy since this seems to be the state my brain works best in. If you give me a single task and a month to do it, I’ll go insane and it won’t be my best work. If you give me that task and a bunch of random other things to do in the same time frame, all of a sudden I’m a different person and better able to focus on tasks and output much better work. So I’m glad I have stuff to do aside from just a video since I think it will turn out the better for it. Also, during my crazy week I think I figured out a way to do the OpenAlpha regularly without going crazy or hating games or myself in the process. This is critical. This is fun :)
