b) my flex dollars
c) the semester
d) saturday
e) all of the above
It’s quarter to six and it’s pitch black outside. Last night my group and I were working way too hard on a silly little project but at least it’s 95% done. I just need to edit a few videos while the rest of the people figure out which school server I’m supposed to upload the whole thing to. This morning, after my group took me out for a ridiculously late meal and drinks at Dominion House, I still managed to get up and go to spin/cycle-fit even though I had accidentally set my alarm for pm. Immediately following that my training partner and I did our 3k run — we’re getting ready for a half-marathon in February — before lunch whereupon we were all so zombified from the work last night and the workout this morning that we sat around and basically stared at each other for an hour+ at lunch because none of us wanted to walk back in the freezing weather back to the dorm. Alas, now my friends and I had to part ways since we had to try and be productive today because tomorrow has the potential to be a total write off.
My first exam is December 8th and I have a ton of reading to do and notes to update so I can get my GA to explain some terms that I keep tripping over. To that end I went to the store today and got my usual ‘working’ supplies: chart paper, post-its, and a zillion different coloured markers. And I got a metre stick this year too cause I hate drawing massive lines 15 centimetres at a time. It’s just plain annoying. I also have one more assignment and one more exercise before I can focus entirely on exam prep.
Tomorrow morning scares me. I am running 10k outside and it’s been, oh, years since I’ve done anything like that. Granted, the last few months have been awesome for me since I’ve been hitting the gym regularly and I’m in way better shape now than the past few summers. I’m still not in high school shape but if I keep this up I will be! Running is something I used to hate. I still firmly believe that if you take a dedicated runner and then make them do their regular distances in full goalie equipment they’d start to hate it too. Beep tests are also evil. Or were evil. I’ve become such a better runner now that I’m doing this for my own enjoyment and without all the extra padding. 10k in the freezing cold is new though. With my nifty new running gear I will be protected from the wind and my own sweat but it’s my hands and ears I fear for.

Where are your openalpha video’s. Study harder Jenn so we can see you again in openalpha or any show for that matter. It’s fun to watch you on TV. I don’t have a meter stick but I got 30 foot measuring tape.
