Why does this always happen the night before a test?
I climb into bed at around 11 and then there’s a kick ass lightning storm outside. I had the good sense to unplug everything in my room once I figured out that, yes, it was lightning and not trucks with their highbeams on so at least everything survived the night. Burying my face in my pillow I was able to ignore the light show outside and finally drift off to sleep around 12:30. Later on, at some ungodly hour, the rest of the storm followed and this was impossible to ignore and get any proper sleep. You know that weird state wherein you’re neither conscious or out? You’re just kinda lying there, mostly aware of what’s going on in the room around you but still in a dream-like state where you’re interacting with your usual dreams. One second I’m walking on a bridge to the train and the next I can see the eerie shadows on the wall from my Wii and Wavebird before I’m instantly on the train because that’s how long I was out of the dream for. It’s actually fun when you don’t have to drag yourself to class and recall a chapter’s worth of information on e^x, ln, and log. I still think I did alright but I guess I’ll know sometime next week.
